Fusion in stars
Two nuclei in a star meet the Coulomb barrier with far too little energy to climb it, and fuse only by tunnelling. The fast tail of the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution falls with energy, the tunnelling probability rises: their product is the narrow Gamow window. Move the temperature and watch it slide.
